Day 1, I Guess.........

Well this is my very first blog!! The reason i have decided to enter the world of blogging simply came from the shear boredom i have been facing over the past week. I have stupidly broken my ankle and two toes!! I have been house bound for just over a week now due to the pain and swelling that came along with the broken leg!!!

I was chatting to a friend of mine, Ally, on the great 'Messenger', after telling her about my misfortune she suggested setting up a blog, she then sent me a link to hers and after reading it i thought, why the hell not!! So here we are!!

I went to a wedding of some friends in Stoke on Trent. Everything was so nice and we were all having a great time. i then proceeded to fall over and brake my ankle. i then spent the next few hours sitting in casualty with my mate Louise! when we finally got back to the bed and breakfast we were staying in i realised that i couldn't get up the stairs to our room. i was in a lot of pain and to be honest i just wanted to go home to my own bed and wallow in my own self pity!!!
I called my brother and explained what had happened and he very kindly came to pick me up! I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for me over the past week. He has come to see me most days, taken me to the hospital and rescued me for boredom with DVDs and trips to B&Q!!
I have had to move into my brothers old bedroom for the time being as mine is at the top of our cast iron spiral staircase!! not exactly the easiest thing to master on crappy NHS crutches!!

My friends have been great. My close friend Sarah has been to see me about every other day and even escorted me to the hospital on Monday, which is when i had my new pot put on. I opted for a bright pink cast!!! on the way home from the hospital i pulled a muscle in my arm and haven't been able to put any weight on it since. this has made moving around very difficult indeed. i have had to hop to where ever i wanted to be and it gets pretty hard work after a while!
My arm does feel a little better today so hopefully I'll be up and running by the end of the week!!
